Pied

The Pied mutation causes more or less random areas of the bird to lose colour.

This is an autosomal recessive mutation

Pied Zebra Finches should be 50% white and 50% non-white. The pied markings should be symmetrical, i.e. in the same place on both sides of the bird. In addition, all the regular markings (tear drops, flanks, breast bar, etc.) should be broken by white.
