I usually try and get the parents off the nest before I take the top off to_x000D_<br \/>\nsee in. Usually I do this by holding a hand where they can see it from within the nest -_x000D_<br \/>\nthat&#8217;s often enough to get them out. My theory is that this helps get the birds back in_x000D_<br \/>\nthe nest, as they are not scared by something &#8218;in&#8216; the nest, but by something outside the_x000D_<br \/>\nnest.
