{"id":571,"date":"2001-03-17T16:34:00","date_gmt":"2001-03-17T16:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/zebrafinch.info\/chestnut-flanked-white\/"},"modified":"2025-01-25T20:06:10","modified_gmt":"2025-01-25T20:06:10","slug":"chestnut-flanked-white","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/zebrafinch.info\/de\/chestnut-flanked-white\/","title":{"rendered":"Chestnut Flanked White"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chestnut Flanked White (CFW for short) causes the body colour of the bird to lose or almost lose colour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a sex-linked recessive mutation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">_<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are two different CFW mutations, one red-eyed and one black-eyed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two mutations are multiple alleles, with the black-eyed dominating over the red-eyed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The black-eyed was the first to appear. They usually have clear white backs\/wings, but often with a few grey shadows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The red-eyed have pale cream backs and rarely any shadows.
