Domesticated zebra_x000D_ finches differ from wild zebra finches in a couple of areas: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Domesticated (exhibition type) zebra finches are usually bigger than wild zebra finches    <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The back and wings of wild zebra finches are usually more fawnish than on domesticated     zebra finches. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a domesticated, Australian exhibition type bird (left) and a wild caught zebra_x000D_ finch (right). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"646\" height=\"501\" class=\"wp-image-616\" style=\"width: px;\" src=\"http:\/\/zebrafinch.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/zfd0-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/zebrafinch.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/zfd0-1.jpg 646w, https:\/\/zebrafinch.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/zfd0-1-300x233.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 646px) 100vw, 646px\" \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Australian show bird above is about as big as they come in Australia. It would have been interesting to have a European show bird on the same photo, as they are a bit bigger than their Australian counterparts.
